what are the health benefits of feeding raw dog food?

Massive!  Over time our dogs have become sick (like humans) due to eating refined, carb-filled food that their bodies struggle to process.  By feeding a natural diet, you will notice smaller poos as there is far less waste for your dog’s body to process.  You will also notice a shinier coat,  no doggy smell, and cleaner teeth. Dogs that have previously would have become old before their time will be more supple and have more energy on a natural diet.  It really is the best thing you can do for your dog’s health and well-being. 🐕

Easily!  It is fine to make the switch straight away – today in fact!  However, if you would rather introduce it slowly one meal a day that’s fine too. We have a Starter Box for either adult dogs or puppies, designed to provide you with everything you need and a step-by-step guide to help you along the way.  We totally understand that changing your dog’s diet is a big thing that usually causes a lot of stress and worry. Remember we are here to help and you can contact us at any point if you need some more advice.

how do I feed frozen dog food?

Easily! Have you spotted the theme?  We realise that raw meat is not everyone’s idea of fun.  The concept of our meal portions is to make feeding healthy, natural, raw dog food as convenient and clean as possible.  Just remove as many meals from the bag that you require, place them in your dog’s bowl to defrost and then feed.  Wash the bowl and then repeat. It really is that easy.

what about the bacteria in raw meat?

We use human-grade meat in all our meals.  All our meat is sourced from ethical, UK farms.  As part of our DEFRA regulations, the meats we use are regularly tested for salmonella and bacteria. This risk of bacteria is no greater than in preparing meals in your kitchen for yourself and your family.  Wash hands and surfaces after use.

how much do I feed then?

As a general rule of thumb, you feed between 2-3% of your dog’s weight or ideal weight if your dog is a bit chubby.  The wonderful thing with raw feeding is that it is so easy to adjust, upping or decreasing the food intake depending on how much activity your dog has had each day.  Your dog is an individual just like us humans, some carry extra pounds easily and some could really do with feeding up.  To determine how well covered your dog is , run your hands down your dog’s side, you should feel their ribs easily and their hips should have a slight tuck. If you can’t feel the ribs then they could possibly do with losing a few pounds.

what is balanced/complete dog food?

Our 80/10/10 range of meals are balanced.  They have the correct ratio of muscle meat, bone and secreting offal.  If feeding from this range then variety is the key.  Feed as many different meal types as possible and add in the odd egg (including shell), fish and some nice green steamed veggies when possible.

Our Supercharged complete meals are also balanced as above, but have green veggies, herbs, seeds and superfoods added to ensure that every nutrient that your four-legged friend needs are covered.  It is less important to feed variety when feeding the Supercharged meals but we still recommend as much variety as possible.

We have a  ➡️Starter Box for Adult Dogs⬅️   This is the box to choose if your dog is over 12 months old.

If you have a Puppy and want to give him the best of starts then our ➡️Puppy Power Starter Box⬅️   is for you.
